Colour Palette Update March 2021

As many of you know the last batch of colour palettes sold out in under a minute which was beyond my wildest expectations. Many of you were understandably disappointed that you were unable to buy one. This is just a bit of info on how everything is going to work from now on
I started building these for fun last year on my days off from my day job. I initially made 5 which I hoped I would sell slowly in the coming months. Over 160 colour palettes later and I’m now working my notice at my job and planning to work on this full time which really is a dream come true
Pre-orders
At the start of this journey, I took pre-orders in order to fund the costs of building them. After a while I moved to an in-stock system where I would build them and put them on sale when they are built which is how I do it now.
After the last lot sold out so quickly, many of you asked to pre-order one from the next batch. Unfortunately, there really is no fair way to do this. I have no way of telling who signed up to the email list first or who should get first pick.
Because of this, the first come first served model will continue when I have more stock. I’ll be continuing with regular batches of these. Some of you will be lucky and some of you will have to try again the next time. That being said, there will be a few significant changes.
How things will change
As I mentioned, I’m still working my notice at my day job. Once I am able to work on this full time, batch size will be increasing. Hopefully this alone will give people a better chance at getting one when they do go on sale. Current batch size is around 30 and the march batch will also still be this size. After march I’m hoping to increase batch size to 100 at a time. These batches may be slightly more spread out but should give everyone a better chance.
As another improvement, I will be sending out the new-stock email and announcing on Instagram several days in advance of the new stock being added. As a few of you pointed out, more warning would be useful.
To make the checkout process as easy as possible, you can also now set up a user account with your payment details already there before they go on sale.
As a final change, I am well aware around 50% of you are in the US. Because of this I’ll be adding stock later in the afternoon here in the UK (which will mean later in morning across the US)
