Colour Palette update November 2021

Hi there, me again.

As many of you know it’s been a while since I’ve made any colour palettes. my last update was back in July so now that things are moving again, I thought I’d update you with what is happening, what I’ve been up to and hopefully answer some more questions.

I’m building Colour Palettes again!

For the past few weeks, I’ve finally been able to get busy soldering and working on a new batch! one of the most common questions I get is how many are you making this time. I’ve mentioned many times that for each batch I try to make more than the last one, and this is no exception! I’m currently working on a batch of 250. this is a big increase from the last one that was of 100 units. I’m often asked why I don’t just make hundreds/thousands more and the reality is that increasing production is really complicated! I’m just trying to move at a pace that is sustainable for me and the future of this little business. a big thank you to everyone that remains excited but understanding!

So, for those of you that haven’t read my blog post from July, the reason I couldn’t build colour palettes for a while was due to a worldwide shortage of semiconductors brought about by the pandemic. This meant I wasn’t able to get some of the main parts of the colour palette. I placed an order back in July and those parts arrived just a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the shortage is likely to affect me and all your favourite electronics manufacturers for a while until things get back to normal. This does also mean that unfortunately parts costs have gone up as well as extra Brexit related costs and the price of colour palettes is going to go up slightly. this is something I was hoping to avoid but unfortunately it is necessary. The new price will be £199.00 which it will remain at.

I don’t yet have an exact date for when the next batch will be for sale but I will let everyone know in advance on both Instagram and the email list. it wont be too long though! hopefully that answers the majority of your questions regarding Colour Palettes

What I’ve been up to

so, what have I been doing since the last batch? well, it’s given me some time to work on some new things! I released a germanium boost pedal in collaboration with artist James Kellaway. There are still some of those for sale on my shop. I have also had spent a lot of time working on something I started on over a year ago. I’ve finally got that circuit to a place I’m happy with so I’m now working on making that in to the magic sound box I want it to be! I’m hoping to have that ready to release in the first half of next year. As with most things, the most recent thing you create is always the one you are most proud of. This is no exception and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Thank you

If you made it this far, thank you for reading and again thank you to everyone who has been so patient while I’ve been unable to build.

follow me over on instagram for more pics and updates while i build.
